Why is this experience on the Challenge List?
When I was in primary school I had the opportunity to attend a special art class that ran for 10 weeks for a select group of students. During the class, we were able to design our bowl shape with clay and then get the tiles. Which were smashed into pieces to then be used to decorate the bowl. The finished product was incredible and from this experience, I wanted to do another mosaic similar to what I did years before.
Description:
I purchased the Mandala candle holder from Bunnings, it was very straightforward of how to complete the heart mosaic and the finished product looked great. Everything came included in the kit and it took me approximately 20 minutes to finish.
Would I do it again?
This was fun and easy having a premade kit but I would like to make another one where it is completely random and I make it from smashed up tiles. Making it my unique creation!
Highlight:
Whilst I was making the mosaic my little sister came to watch me and with all the spare pieces and some cardboard she made her own beautiful design, she loves it so much its hanging up on the fridge. (I think it looks better than mine!)
