Why is this experience on the Challenge List?
I remember years ago seeing the image below and being absolutely mesmerised by it! This is the same photo taken everyday for 365 days and then merged together to make it look like the seasons are changing. For someone to get this photo it would take a level of commitment and determination (especially on those colder mornings). I chose to do it as the same location but one for each season to see the subtle changes the seasons bring.

Winter - Monday 29th June 2020 7:36am
For the Winter photo, this was the first photo that I took and I wanted to capture a clear photo that illustrated that it was definitely Winter. I waited for the weather to be below 4C as that meant that there would be frost on the grass. I also wanted to capture all the photos at sunrise, I got up early and it was FREEZING but the resulting photo was worth it.
Spring - Tuesday 23rd November 2021 7:48am
A year later I was able to capture my spring time photo and I almost missed Spring again, with capturing it in the last week of Spring. I was waiting for it to clearly look like Spring with the trees blooming. I managed to capture this photo prior to starting work that day.
Summer - Monday 21st February 2022 10:01am
This photo was captured on my last day literally as I was driving out of town, before I left to go on my two month road trip and in the last few days of Summer.
Autumn - Wednesday 31st May 2023 7:40am
I rode my bike before work, on the VERY LAST day of Autumn to the site to capture the last photo to complete my collection. This photo marks the fourth year of capturing the photos and the Challenge complete!
All the seasons together = magic!
Would I do it again?
Yep absolutely I would love to do this Challenge again, its beautiful to be able to capture these moments and see the subtle differences of the changes over the years. I would like to do it for another landscape, as this time the focus was the grass and the trees as they are a indication of season changes.
Highlight:
The way that it worked out for when I took each photo, it ended up being one per year and it meant that the new shurbs that were planted, I unintentionally documented there growing progress. Check this out!
